Abstract [eng] Public procurement covers a significant part of each country‘s economy, therefore it has been known for a long time to be an efficient means of implementing a particular policy chosen by the governing bodies. The work focuses on the analysis of the new opportunities to implement socially responsible public procurement according to the European Union laws. There are also assessed some problematic aspects of legal rulings of socially responsible public procurement, explaining their conceptions and meanings. Seeking to examine and evaluate these aspects from the different points of view the analysis is based on the most significant judgements of the European Court of Justice, on the opinions of the Advocates General and on the attitudes expressed in the different authors‘ works. The encouragement of the corporate social responsibility by implementing socially responsible public procurement is one of the most important targets set in the European Union policy, therefore the work is aimed at defining the problems and obstacles of the legal regulation of socially responsible public procurement, identifying the reasons for that and finding the possible ways to solve and overcome them.
