The Topological Proof of Abel-Ruffini Theorem. II Abel-Ruffini theorem states that the generic algebraic equation of degree five or higher is not solvable by radicals - formula does not exist for expressing roots of a generic equation of degree five or higher in terms of its coefficients by means of operations of addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, raising to a natural power, and extraction of a root of natural degree. |
