Master's final thesis examines, how personal data's protection is implementing in Lithuanian probation service after General data protection regulation reception and after results evaluation aims to find out, in what ways can be improved personal data's protection implement in Lithuanian probation service. Research aim – prepare and justify personal data's protection implementation model and evaluate how its work in Lithuanian probation service. To achieve raised aim raised following research tasks: after analyzing scientific literature and various documents, to reveal concept of personal data's protection and justify its need, after find out entrenched personal data's protection regulation in legislations, identify main peculiarities of regulation changes, after reviewed and analysed theoretical basis, exclude features of personal data's protection management in Lithuanian probation service, perform describing factors' (analysis of interviews, documents) situation analysis of personal data's protection implementation process, to provide essential opportunities for improving implementation of personal data's protection, by modeling implementation model. Work consists of introduction, theoretical and research parts, conclusions and recommendations. First part examines theoretical aspects of personal data's protection implement in Lithuanian probation service: analyzing origins and needs of personal data protection, personal data's concept and its evolution, personal data's regulation and regulatory changes, as well as personal data's management's peculiarities and Lithuanian probation service and regulation of personal data's protection in it. In second part of work presented methodological research methods, overviewed concept of research, which describes research logic scheme, research problems field, research strategy, research process and researched people's characteristics and research ethics. In third part in detail analyzes research results. The research found, that for Lithuanian probation service working professionals' lack knowledge about new General data protection regulation. Determined that it confirms and in research participated informants. Lack of knowledge - complicates implement of personal data protection. According to experts involved in research, they ensure personal data's protection by not disseminating data, in accordance with reasonableness principle, but admits, that for better personal data's protection it is important to introduce them with peculiarities of new data protection regulation, that daily work activity’s functions would be implemented without violation of General data protection regulation. Based on done research and its obtained results, it can be said that there is room for improvement for Lithuanian probation service, in order to effective implement process in field of personal data protection, therefore at work provided modeled personal data's protection implementation model based on theoretical and practical parts and presented recommendations for specialists and management of Lithuanian probation service. |
