Abstract [eng] Great attention in the modern education system is directed to the quality of education (training) and the relevance of the quality of activities in general education schools in the context of strategic education goals. The quality of education is a priority goal for education policy and practice. The carried out survey data is relevant and will be useful for educational institutions performing self-assessment and waiting for an external evaluation. The external quality assessment of the activity was carried out only in one third of Lithuanian schools, although all schools should already be subject to a re-assessment. Each school carries out an internal self-assessment of the quality of its activities, involving teachers, pupils and their parents. However, the question arises as to what impact the external evaluation has on the educational institution and on the teachers and learners working there.
