The topic of Master thesis is research of sound suppressor of rifle. In thesis are compared results of performed field tests of rifle shoots with and without sound suppressor. Also performed calculations of internal ballistics and gas extension processes. Performed 3D modelling of sound suppressor and performed flow simulation of gases with DS Solidworks flow simulation program. Determined sound power and pressure level distribution in models when shot performed with and without sound suppressor. Results of numerical models compared to theoretical models and real tests were relatively accurate. Numerical modeling method is suitable and accurate enough for use in research of sound suppressor characteristics. |
