The main body of this thesis contains questions about an understanding of a from society’s point of view, if the quality of work satisfies and fulfils the needs of parents and what a professional pre-school teacher should be like. The aim of this study is to analyze a quality of work of a professional pre-school teacher. The main tasks are to examine the documents that regulates a work of a pre-school teacher, to define its work quality and the concept of an educational work, identify the directions of the quality of work, research it form the parents and college’s point of view. For this thesis these research methods were chosen: literature review, document analysis, and the questionnaire survey. The criteria of pre-school teacher’s quality of work are: adapted educational programs for children according to their individual needs, the reflection of fulfilled needs in the educational programs, revealing the interaction between children and educators in the educational program, factors that improve a pre-school education situation. The directions of a pre-school teacher are active participations in the educational process by children and their parents, dialogue between parents and teachers, pre-school teacher’s improvement of one’s professional skills. The concept of a good kindergarten, as understood by the parents, is based on the safety of a child, attention for the education and spending more time in the fresh air. The pre-school teacher’s criteria of quality of educational work can be measured by the child’s willingness to go to the kindergarten, his feels when being in and the educational achievements. Older pre-school teachers and ones who are professionally more experienced are more likely to have more standard, old-fashioned rules that are maid despite individual abilities or achievements of a child. The main personal feature of a pre-school teacher is the love for children. Hypothesis of the thesis is that pursuing to fulfil the needs of society that is well informed and creative, the quality of work of pre-school teacher and the directions of understanding of educational work are changing, presupposing the requirement of a professional educator that would catch up with everyday changes and would be able to control the process of education at the same time ensuring it’s quality. |
