Abstract [eng] Fierce competition drives the organization to operate at a global level, making the demands of the organization more demanding on employees. Organizations need staff with rapid response and flexibility, technological literacy, openness and global awareness – these qualities are revealed through learning and continuous training. The Master's thesis examines the impact of the qualification improvement of employees abroad on the competitiveness of the organization. The aim of this work is to determine the impact of employee qualification development on the competitiveness of the organization. To achieve this goal, the following tasks are formulated: to reveal the competitive features of a modern organization in the context of 4.0; to determine the impact of staff development on the competitiveness of the organization; to study the impact of teachers training abroad on school competitiveness. Object of work: Impact of qualification improvement abroad on organization's competitiveness. Research methods. Theoretical part is the analysis of scientific literature, which aims to reveal the theoretical links between the competitiveness of the organization and the qualification improvement of employees. The empirical part deals with secondary data analysis. The analyzed data are derived from the second phase of the longitudinal study on the impact and sustainability of the Erasmus+ programme key action1 mobility projects for the school education staff (Lithuania). The final master’s thesis consists of introduction, theoretical, methodological, empirical parts, conclusions, recommendations and literature. The paper uses 106 sources, of which 90 are the works of foreign scholars. The theoretical part analyzes the modern concept of organizational competitiveness and distinguishes the features that are characteristic of the modern organization. Based on various scientific sources, the need for employee qualification improvement for the competitiveness of the organization is revealed. Theoretical analysis is carried out which reveals the need for teachers qualification development for the future of the school and for ensuring the new quality of teaching. In the methodological part of the work the empirical research is presented: the aim, strategy, samples and other parameters of the research. The aim of the study is to determine the impact of employee training on the competitiveness of the organization. To achieve this goal, a qualitative research strategy was selected using the secondary data analysis method. This part of the paper presents the limitations of research and ethical principles. The empirical part of the paper presents the results of secondary data analysis. This section analyzes the findings of the focus group discussions between managers and teachers and provides insights that can be observed during the analysis. Summarizing the results of the survey, it was determined how in-service training abroad is changing employees and what changes they see after their experience abroad. The analysis of data from the focus groups of managers reveals how after the development of skills abroad the changes that managers see in teachers relate to changes that occur in the organization. In the case of research schools, it is seen that staff development abroad, both for teachers and principals, is seen as a positive process for organizational change and empowerment. Empirically it has been found that personality changes and revealing teacher qualities improve organizational culture, increase flexibility, quality, and create an open and courageous community. The results of the empirical study confirmed the theoretical view that professional development abroad strengthens the competitiveness of the organization. After the theoretical analysis of scientific literature sources and the opinion of the participating schools about qualification improvement abroad, conclusions and recommendations are given.
