Abstract [eng] Criminal and criminalistical characteristics are analyzed and laid in this final master’s work. Knowing these characteristics is very important, because it helps to qualify and assess correctly this criminal act and to plan an investigation. Having explored specifics of disclosure and investigation planning of traffic accidents, there are laid typical situations of investigation ( a) the driver, the vehicle and the victim are at the scene of the traffic accident or in case they are no, but investigators have information about them; b) the victim is at the scene of the traffic accident, but the are no the vehicle and the driver; c) the victim and the vehicle are at the scene of the traffic accident, but there is no the driver) and main typical versions of investigation ( a) the driver’s breach of Rules of the Road Traffic or vehicle exploitation was the main cause of the traffic accident; b) the victim’s negligence was the main cause of the traffic accident; c) the victim’s breach of rules of the road was the main cause of the traffic accident; d) incidental circumstances were the main cause of the traffic accident). Particular actions of investigations depend on a juncture situation of investigation and raised versions of investigation. During the investigation of this criminal act, these procedural actions are usually performed: surveys (researches) of the scene of the traffic accident, the vehicle, the victim’s body (the corpse), the victim’s clothes and other important objects, examinations of witnesses, victims and the driver, comparison of statements to circumstances of evidences and investigative experiment, researches (expertises) of forensic medicine and objects of traffic accidents. Not always these procedural actions are taken correctly. Officers sometimes breach the requirements of criminal law and doctrine’s recommendations. Having analyzed doctrine, practical material and results of officers questioning, suggestions how to develop investigations methods are laid in this final master’s work.
