Abstract [eng] The article deals with the issue of developing appropriate behavioural culture of children as today almost all parents have doubts about both the old and the new ways of forming appropriate behavioural culture of children. They all seem no longer efficient, whereas problems related to children behaviour are on the increase; and since parents are the first to face problems related with children behaviour, these problems have to be solved by them. Parents' intellectual capacities, their aims, worldview, pedagogical tact and culture determine the future of a child. Scientific literature review and respondents' ideas allow us to state that most parents encounter bigger or smaller problems with behaviour of pre-school age children: lies, aggression, anger, disobedience, different demands. In a case like that one of the ways of purposeful upbringing is disciplining. It is aimed to set limits on children's behaviour and correct their improver behaviour. Analysis of scientific literature shows that the ways to discipline children are the following: lecturing, bribery, promises, method of natural consequences, isolation, deprivation, threatening, irony, limit setting, physical punishment, threatening, condemnation, reproach, reproof. Participants of the research named methods of discipline most used in their families: reproof, scolding, seizure, isolation, threatening.
