Abstract [eng] The article deals with a problem ather relevant to modern society and school: bullying among pupils in final grades. Pupils encounter violence rather often and one of the dominant forms of it is bullying. Bullying has been recently widely discussed and written about at different levels. According to research results, bullying is very common among pupils in Lithuania. Lithuanian pupils bully each other more often than in many other European countries. Pupils in their adolescence are bullied mainly by other pupils, though in some cases they are bullied by teachers as well. Such behaviour harms psychological climate at school, pupils and their well-being, and parent-teacher relations. The results of the research reveal the most common forms and reasons of bullying and places where it is widespread. They also show adolescents' attitudes towards bullying, its participants and victims. The research revealed that bullying is widespread both in compulsory and secondary schools. Pupils suffer from bullies, but they also tend to bully their peers. Pupils are not always able to solve problems by themselves, so they think that cases of bullying should be reported to trustworthy adults involved in the process of education.
