The night theme has always been seen as poorly actualized in urban photography. The concept of night photography immediately provides night thematicity, and in the visual plane, the theme suggests aesthetic, technical and even some particular anthropological components. This report is a shift from the broad concept of the night towards specific artistic attempts to open the night light. The discussion revealed a gradual night light duality, its naturalnessand artificiality. Photography and art photography focus on the visual mysteries of the night. The artificial attempt of photography shows the desired already prepared and decorated formats of urban night light. Visualization is seen as a much broader topic than a separately considered technical or aesthetic issue. In this report, all the possible forms of visualization are not discussed, but emphasis is laid only on urban photography as a form of visualization. Only night-time photography was selected for theoretical discussion and debate. This topic is vast and complicated, therefore the report is centered only on the artistic value of the contents, the classical world and Lithuanian authors. |
