Abstract [eng] In 2012 specific studies on the seasonal development of willow were performed. Primary research findings are presented in this article. During such investigations following was determined: rooted cuttings of willow, leaf length and width, evaluation of the growth of shoots, Autumn colouring of leaves, recording the ending of willow foliation. Salix viminalis leaves vary by their dimensions; they may be from 11.5 up to 20.1 cm long and from 1.3 up to 2.7 cm wide. The results showed that during the growing season willow grown from 2 to 8 shoots. Shoots diameter of the majority of studied willow is of 0.5–1.0 cm. Most intensive growth of shoots of willow was in June–July. The analysis has shown that length of shoots vary from 120.0 cm up to 380.0 cm.
