Abstract [eng] The paper analyses the correlation between labour productivity and wage level in different economic activities across the country. It is agreed that there is dependence between labour productivity and wage level; however, there is uncertainty whether labour productivity determines wage size or the wage level determines the labour productivity increase. According to the neoclassical economic theory, it can be claimed that the wage size is defined considering the labour productivity, however, according to the efficient labour wage model, a rising wage level stimulates the labour productivity growth. Still, the essential provisions of the various theories allow claiming that there is a direct correlation between labour productivity and wage level. Because of the labour productivity growth companies can increase the wage level without increasing prices and reducing their profits. The labour productivity growth determines the competitiveness among companies and influences on the country’s economic growth and unemployment rate decrease. In order to maintain the existing staff, the wage level increases. If wages rise faster than labour productivity, the inflationary processes can accelerate in the country. The aim of the research: to theoretically analyse the correlation between labour productivity and wage level and assess this correlation in different economic activities across the country. The goals of the research: 1. To Theoretically base the correlation between labour productivity and wage level. 2. To analyse and assess the dynamics of the wage level and labour productivity. 3. To compare and evaluate the correlation between the wage level and labour productivity in different economic activities across the country. The methods of the research: analysis, comparison, segmentation and generalisation, correlation and regression analysis. [...].
