Abstract [eng] |
The discourse of modernity as a progress of knowledge and society hah a significant role in the development of ethics as it was here where new theories revolting against alienation brought by industrialization and rationalization manifested themselves. Theories contradictory to the mechanistic perception of nature induced ideas of harmony between natural world and moral happiness, emphasizing the unity between human and nature. Nature is treated as an animate immeasurable power involving everything that exists and having the right to destroy and to create; nature has the ability to develop itself, change, restore. An ideal human is an educated one who obeys not his reason, but his consciousness, who perceives his nature, understands laws of nature and their effects. Ideas about nature as a value, about harmony between human and nature raised in modern philosophy served as significant landmarks for developing ecological philosophy of the 20th century and are dominant among the concepts of modern philosophy. |
