Abstract [eng] |
In the paper, the input data for the calculation of strength of beams at cross-sections by the ZI method proposed by the third author are prepared. For the calculations, the Eurocode curvilinear concrete compression stress-strain rela-tion is used. The relation is replaced by an easy-to-integrate 3rd degree equation. The parameters of the equation are calculated according to formulae for all the strength classes of concrete. The required reliability of the strength of the compression zone of the concrete of the beam is achieved by dividing the force by the partial factor for force (safety factor). The value of the partial factor for force may be assumed to be equal to 1.95. All the regular concrete strength classes covered by the regulations are analysed in the paper. The reinforcement of the beams covered by the paper ranges from low to high. In all cases when reinforcement is not high, the calculation results that are obtained are very good. The proposed method is suitable not only for the calculation of the values of strength of beams but also for the analysis of the impact of various factors on the value of strength. |
