The author of the Thesis has chosen one of the most significant topics of economics, connected with the solving of very actual but complicated problems of socioeconomic vitality of regions with low level of urbanization, but with significant predominance of agrarian activity. She pointed out on multifunctional role of these areas, such as source of various natural resources and diversity of ecosystems, an environment for work and recreation, also as depository of ethnic heritage. The current situation in rural areas is very complicated because “the standard of rural residents relatively decreases, and the polarisation of incomes between urban and rural employees increases”. That is why young educated and creative people are not intending to work in rural regions and the structure of population of these areas is deteriorating. |
