Abstract [eng] The analysis of socialization concept among persons having physical disability has been carried out in this work, in which the problems of the involvement of persons with physical disability into the applied physical activities have been identifi ed, and the infl uence of applied physical activities on the quality of life of the disabled has been revealed in the theoretical aspect. Using the method of questionnaire survey the research has been carried out, where the main aim was to compare the indexes of life quality of the disabled who were involved in sports activities to the indexes of those who were not. 111 persons who have movement disability have participated in this research. In the empirical part of this work the infl uence of the applied physical and sports activities on the disabled persons in the aspect of psychosocial functions has been analyzed. The main fi ndings of the empirical research are the following. Respondents having the physical disability and involved in the sports activities feel higher satisfaction with their life than those who are not. Physically active respondents evaluate their mental health more favourably; moreover, the indices of stress-causing factors are lower among those who are involved in sports activities in comparison to those who are not. The approach of the disabled involved in sports activities towards their disability is visibly more favourable than of those who are not. The disabled involved in physical and sports activities are more self-confi dent, even in situations with unfavourable conditions. The hypothesis that quality of life of persons with physical disability and their approach to their disability is better among the disabled who are involved in sports activities in comparison to those who are not, was confi rmed.
