Abstract [eng] |
The present research deals with peculiarities of motivation for sports activities of equestrian sports (show jumping) sportsmen. The research problem consists of the issue that there is no single answer to the question what is the dominating motivation for equestrian sports (show jumping) of high performance sportsmen and is this motivation different for men and youth sportsmen. Research on motivation for sports activities is also important because the results obtained can not only help in prognosticating future sports results but also benefi t timely application of certain means in order to improve them. The aim of the research is to reveal peculiarities of motivation for equestrian sports (show jumping) among high performance men and youth sportsmen. The research was carried out applying the method of questionnaire-based survey. The questionnaire consisted of 25 statements, which had to be assessed by the surveyed in a fi ve-point scale, according to importance. Five points means that a statement is very important, four and three mean that it is important, two and one mean that a statement is not important. 40 equestrian sports (show jumping) sportsmen were surveyed: 20 men and 20 youths. The investigated were members of national teams from eleven European countries. The age of the respondents was the following: the youth were 16.5 ± 1.2 years of age and the men were 35 ± 6.6 years of age. [...]. |
