Bullying at school is a widespread complicated complex socio-cultural phenomenon. There are increasingly more various reports in the media on cruel bullying cases at educational institutions of Lithuania. The data of various surveys carried out in Lithuania (Povilaitis, Valiukevičiūtė, 2006 et al.) demonstrate that bullying became commonness at schools, kind of a certain “life standard”. This shows that schools of the country have to undertake urgent preventive actions. This article presents the analysis of prevention of bullying at iauliai comprehensive schools, highlights main features of prevention of bullying, which is organized at educational institutions of this city. It is sought to answer the question whether a long-term and efficient system of measures that eliminates the social and pedagogical problem of bullying exists. Would all members of the school community take responsibility for solving cases of bullying? Research results enable to state that only solitary preventive measures are applied at educational institutions and not all school community is engaged in prevention of bullying. |
