Abstract [eng] Based mainly on the research works by Michael Epstein and Slavoj Zizek, the article deals with the prob lem of how it is possible, if possible at all, to integrate literary imagination and fantasy into literary theory and science in general. Is imagination feasible not only as a component of certain branches of literary anthropology (e. g. Gaston Bachelard’s imagination theories), but also as a part of all literary anthropology and even a part of all literary science? The answer to the question tends to be more positive than negative. The question is answered by: (a) actualizing literary metatextualism, autoreflexion, manifestations of poetology (b) demonstrating certain parallelism between scientific thinking, cognition and artistic thinking, cognition (e. g. parallels between Russian symbolism and psychoanalysis; parallels between contemplations on intertextualism which arise in works by Jorge Luis Borges and Hermann Hesse and theoretical works by Roland Barthes and Julia Kristeva; (c) invoking science of solaristics from the wellknown science fiction novel Solaris by Stanisław Lem (1961), depicted as the artistic model of humanities in general, by which these sciences are “researched” as well.
