Abstract [eng] |
Nowadays quality of studies is very important factor that helps to form opinion of society about services of higher schools. Each learner has a goal to enhance knowledge and to get education; that is why quality indicators are important for all participants of education. In this article the authors present a problem – what are the needs of education field students for study process and how could they be related to quality? The object is quality of studies in the aspect of students’ needs. It was found that part-time students tend to evaluate quality of studies in a more positive way. They area surer that teachers/lecturers are altruistic, empathic to students’ mood and could help students whenever students need that. In addition, they positively evaluate aspects of teaching and learning systems: the professionalism and activity of lecturers stimulate students to study independently, to understand information correctly because it is presented clearly and in a structured way. Realization of models of studies is evaluated more positively by part-time students as well. Students agree that lecturers effectively use time, topics are laconic, defined and original. Full-time students are surer that during lectures they learn using active methods and this requires more time, meanwhile, part-time students are surer that they do not waste their time because they are writing more than full-time students while lecturers are talking or writing on the blackboard. Students have needs for organization of studies: they want to minimize load for evaluation exercises and to differentiate them, also, they ask to limit time needed for preparation for lectures. Certain amount of information about evaluation peculiarities should be given in study process. Learners would like to have flexible timetable and better learning conditions. |
