Abstract [eng] It is already known that computer based visualization is very popular in science education. This assumes that technological progress had made an enormous progress in education area. There is not enough to use only textbooks in classroom work, educators prefer more difficult tools that have more possibilities to improve knowledge. Science textbooks should help students to learn concepts, definitions, equations, theory and other information. All texts are transformed mostly in words and several are show in pictures. There is a question - does these pictures are helpful for students? This question is raised because the technological progress is seen in the classroom work over the world, but still it is not popular in Lithuania. All teachers know that scientific definitions and models are difficult for students and could foster their disability to understand abstract phenomenon. Computer based visualization can show invisible things and can be clearer for students than textbooks. The author want to find out the situation of students opinion in this area and to prove - whether it is enough to have only textbooks in science education process. The research was done in 2009 years. There was used questionnaire as a research instrument. The participants were from various parts of Lithuania. The instrument was constructed by the author and tested in pilot research. The¬re was found out that questionnaire is high quality (the Cronbach's alpha is 0,9278) it can be used in broad research. Mostly all questionnaires in print were given selectively to all chosen classes and were collected by teachers and by researcher. There were 1152 participants in the research. All students were learning in grade nine or grade ten. There are than enough respondents for the research validity and the results should enclose the features of all population. There was chosed only women group for data analysis (644 girls) [...].
