The article deals with the results of experimental research on bicycle frame strength analysis. These results were processed by measurement system “Spider 8”, where the strain gages were plugged in its channels. The obtained information was transmitted to the computer and the results were processed by “Catman” (Computer Aided Testing, Measurement and Analysis) program. The work was done in two pilot studies. The first test was accomplished when the rider was sitting on the seat of the bicycle, the second – when on the carrier. Diagrams of deformation dispersion and the value of the maximum loads on different bicycle frame elements are shown in the figures and in the table. It was established that the information measuring system “Spider 8”, connected to “Catman”, can be used for the evaluation of changes of deformations in different bicycle frame elements in working conditions. Computed maximal values of pressure do not exceed the permitted values. |
