Abstract [eng] The article deals with possessive adjectival constructions in old Lithuanian writings. Because the main indicator of possessivity of these constructions is the suffix of the adjective, the more characteristic derivatives with suffixes having possessive meaning and used in the 16–17th c. are being analysed with particular attention to the more archaic phenomena differing from the modern language. In terms of semantics, possessive adjectival collocations are of two types: the ones expressing the possessive relation of having and the possessive relation of belonging. The most varied and numerous in the examined writings are collocations with the derivatives of the suffix -iškas(-a). In difference from the modern language, in old writings they denote not only similarity or a typical feature but also possessivity. These word combinations express the possessive relation of belonging. Derivatives with suffix -iškas(-a) from the semantic point-of-view historically are close to the derivatives with suffixes -inis(-ė), -ingas(-a). Adjectives with suffix -inis(-ė) are very few in the writings under investigation. Possessive constructions containing adjectives with suffix -ingas(-a) are quite numerous; they denote the possession of the qualities of the object denoted by the head-word of the construction. From the point-of-view of the modern language, derivatives with suffixes -ėnas(-ė) and -onis(-ė), ascribed to those denoting possessivity, are considered archaic. Collocations with derivatives with suffixes -otas(-a), -uotas(-a) also have to be mentioned. The discussed adjectival constructions semantically correlated with combinations of possessive adnominal Genetive. The latter ones were stronger members of correlation and gradually ousted constructions with the discussed adjectives from usage. Derivatives with some suffixes became archaic, while others acquired a new meaning.
