We have been getting free of unified great history for a few decades. Excellent examples of this process are visual histories of some towns. In this article the author discusses the local photographic history in the context of great official history. The author of this article tries to disclose the problems of photographic narrative referring to historic photography albums of Joniškis and Žagarė. The surfaces of photographies reflect intriguing visual history of small towns. After careful study of local photographic scenes we can notice lively details and gesures right away.In the town-dweller’s poses and gestures we can recognize historical poses of our time which are very expressive. |
