Abstract [eng] Improvement of communication systems and means of transportation and formation of increasingly more favorable possibilities for travelling made tourism a significant part of modern world economics. A specific form of tourism, well-known as rural tourism, was rapidly gaining popularity in the recent decades. People tired of permanent urban noise, rush and tension seek quietness, calm and peace of mind. Drastic climatic changes also encourage the modern society to turn back to nature and to understand it better and deeper. Many researches have indicated the increasing interest in healthy lifestyle and natural e cologic food. Visiting of countryside allows expanding people’s world outlook, understanding importance of events in not so distant yet almost forgotten past. Communication with different social groups stimulates better understanding of their interests and needs as well as coming together of the whole society for solving very complicated problems that are important for all humanity. The paper deals with some new aspects of development and improvement of rural tourism. Currently the majority of homesteads adapted for rural tourism can be called local hotels or motels, also places for organization of picnics, wedding ceremonies or other celebrations and attractions. Although famous objects of nature, history or culture are located near rural tourism homesteads, only a few of their owners are now interested in organizing special tours or trips for clients to visit these objects. Our researches show the insufficient competence of the owners in management of cognitive or cultural activity. The aim of our present research is to reveal new possibilities for development of rural tourism, which would allow switching to providing of new services to the clients.
