Abstract [eng] Entrepreneurship is a major driver of innovation, competitiveness and growth (Action Plan: The European Agenda for Entrepreneurship, 2004). European Union encourages us to foster entrepreneurial drive more effectively. It is very important that individuals who are going to become entrepreneurs be made aware of the concept of entrepreneurship. The career of an entrepreneur should be made also an attractive option. It is very important that an education system make it possible to train right skills to turn ambitions into successful ventures (European Commission, 2003). Entrepreneurship can be developed in students, but not by using the more traditional, pedagogic teaching methods nor by teaching the standard functional competences traditionally taught in business schools. The paper examines phenomenon of entrepreneurship in simulation business enterprise and seeks to reveal the effectiveness of Simulation Business Enterprise in teaching entrepreneurial skills. Using an interview-based methodology, the paper based on responses from a sample of 10 students revealed the strengths and weaknesses of Simulation Business Enterprise and its peculiarities in teaching entrepreneurial skills. Simulation Business Enterprise is responsible for preparing students for labour market and demonstrating their professionalism and competency in undertaking real office administrative work using the Simulation Business Enterprise’s safe economic training methodological environment – highlighting their social, professional skills and information technology skills. The article discusses and argues that Simulation Business Enterprise is one of the most effective teaching models in Lithuanian Colleges for educating future entrepreneurs.
