During economic recession, production companies focus their view on optimization of manufacturing processes and reduction of production cost. In order to stay competetive companies have to install new innovations in production and administration processes. One of possible means to increase productivity is to modernize manufacturing processes. Just before starting a modernization it is essential to evaluate potential economic gains and analyse trends of technology market. In this Master thesis company‘s X bicycle mudguard‘s manufactoring operation of punching hole press is analysed. There are two modernization options presented. Produced calculations that prove the benefits of modernization and reasonable payback period. Simulations of modernized manufacturing processes using 3D production modelling software Visual components were created. |
