Abstract [eng] The object of my Master's Thesis is the interior and equipment of Pakruojis Culture Center. The aim of work is to analyze the theoretical material about interior design, to examine the prototypes and analogues of public interior. The material is to be used to create an idea, to design an aesthetic, comfortable, modern and attractive space that would revive the functionality of the object. The aim of the work was achieved by analyzing the literature on interior design. An overview of its history, evolution, types, kinds, elements and styles. The object I have chosen corresponds to a public type. An industrial design style with elements of modern and minimal style is used in the project. The area of the designed premises covers 686 m2, more than half of the building area. The remaining premises are ancillary or designed for the staff of the cultural center. The designed is made for the main hall with a stage, lobby and cloakroom, loft/lounge and bathroom area. The wall, floor and ceiling finishes have been renewed in all the spaces. A new entrance has been designed in the main hall area for to distribute the flow of people. For comfort and ergonomic purposes the number of seats has been reduced. The seats for the disabled have been foreseen, as well as the access for the disabled to the premises. A new, modern, industrial-style bar has been designed in the lobby. Zones have been separated in the area. An easy access to the main hall and lounge area has been designed. The loft/lounge has been remodelled from the basics. Its purpose and idea have been changed. The height of the room is used, thus creating an additional area for relaxation. This area is to be used daily, not just during the events. The design of the sanitary facilities was changed, plumbing was renewed and hand dryers were installed. The whole project is dominated by open concrete textures, solid wood, wood imitation, metal constructions, stone tiles, liquid wallpaper as used for wall decoration. The following other materials were used: glass, fabric, decorative bricks. Live or artificial greenery was incorporated therein. General built-in ceiling lighting was chosen. Pendant lighting was used in the lounge, and directional lighting was used at the bar. Brighter colour accents have been introduced in the main hall and loft space. One of the colours is focused on the coat of arms of Pakruojis town. The designed spaces become more functional, rationally used and perfectly distribute the flow of people.
