Abstract [eng] The master's thesis analyzes the strengthening of inter-institutional cooperation in the case of Radviliškis neighbourhood: problems, opportunities, aspects to be improved. Modern society, development of services and knowledge, membership in various organizations, environment, growing demands of society on state and local government pose new challenges faced by various levels of governance, organizations. Interinstitutional cooperation is becoming an essential strategy for the development of modern society and the state. It is especially important to know the implementation processes of cooperation and the principles of organizing cooperation. The aim of the work is to investigate the possibilities of strengthening inter-institutional cooperation in local self-government: in the case of Radviliškis city eldership. In order to achieve the set goal, the methods used in the work: analysis of scientific literature, documents; interviews with heads of public sector institutions with experience of inter-institutional cooperation. The analysis of the obtained data leads to the main conclusions, which reveal that the study confirmed the researchers' insights into the preconditions for the success of inter-institutional cooperation. According to the managers, the most significant factors that have the greatest impact on their successful cooperation are: common, important, relevant goals, positive attitudes, benevolent active communication of members, mutual respect between organizations, and others. The main problems that negatively affect cooperation: competition between organizations, shortcomings in cooperation planning, organization, management, leadership problems, lack of motivation, etc. The work consists of: introduction, three main chapters, conclusions, suggestions and references. The first chapter presents the theories of Lithuanian and foreign researchers about inter-institutional cooperation, its concept, forms and insights into the factors that strengthen inter-institutional cooperation. The second chapter, on the basis of empirical research, examines the trends in the practice of inter-institutional cooperation, reveals the positive and negative factors affecting inter-institutional cooperation. After analyzing the material obtained from the empirical research, conclusions and recommendations for the improvement of inter-institutional cooperation of public sector institutions are presented.
