The aim of master thesis is to form and justify hypothetic strategic management program of vocational school process based on results of analysed research. Aims of previous and present education reforms is to improve education’s effectiveness and quality. Different solutions strategies are invoked for implementation of the aims. In nowadays free market economy the guarantee of the survival of vocational training institution is the adaptation to the needs of the market and service users. This problem in our country is also increased by low birth rates due to which the number of students among vocational and academic institutions is declining. The current state on vocational training institutions does not interest students and employers. In Lithuania the majority of potential partners, i.e. employers, do not have an internal provision and motivation to cooperate with vocational schools. The reorganisation of the network of vocational schools aims to make the institutions providing vocational training more responsive to the needs of the labour market and to make their services more accessible. The development of a strategy requires a responsible and appropriate examination of the form of the organisation, its interrelationships, governance system and other. The essential elements of strategy formation are the vision, mission, and goals, based on which the further stages of strategic formation and implementation are prepared. One of the most important links in the strategic process is the strategic analysis of the external environment, which helps more accurately assess and identify potential risks and process opportunities, current and future business economic, technical and other conditions. The aim of master thesis is to form and justify hypothetic strategic management program of vocational school process based on results of analysed research. In order to achieve this aim objectives are set, the implementation of which is reflected in specific chapters and subchapters of master thesis. The research stages are detailed in the developed research strategy. The following methods are applied in the thesis: theory source and content analysis, visual representation in pictures, compilation of statistical tables, factual and textual systemisation, interpretation and generalisation. Content analysis method used for analysis of empirical research results. Documents were used as the main source of information. In this research, the position is taken that documents are written texts which are analysed in order to reveal the essence and to justify it with specific undeniable facts. The method of document content analysis combines the theoretical and empirical parts of master thesis. The same method has been applied to the analysis of general issues in theoretical part. The hypothetical strategic program of Joniškėlis Ignas Karpis agriculture department is assigned to interinstitutional short-term program. The implementation of the program objectives is evaluated by comparing obtained results with the set objectives. “Attractive services, comfortable and safe vocational school” - is the set goal in strategic program which is divided into smaller goals with respective tasks and tools for implementation. This strategic program aims to improve the availability and quality of services provided by Joniškėlis Ignas Karpis agriculture department. |
