Abstract [eng] A theoretical analysis of “The good school philosophy” and legal documents related to education in the Republic of Lithuania has been carried out in the work allowing to organize data outlining the main aspects of an good school. The object of the master thesis research: the consistency of good school interpretations in preschool education; the aim of the research – to reveal the way “The good school” idea regulated in documentation is interpreted among preschool pedagogues and helping education specialists by outlining the main features of an effective preschool education establishment. The research was conducted following a qualitative research method – a semi-structured interview. The theoretical methods applied include academic literature review, research and document analyses, while the empirical methods used involve a semi-structured interview, document content analysis, comparative analysis of the theoretical, good school aspects and pedagogue interpretations-based features. Pedagogues working in a preschool education establishment and helping education specialists (N=10) participated in the research. “The good school” characteristic is overviewed in the empirical section of the thesis basing it on the pedagogues’ and helping education specialists’ perception and interpretation.
