This work analyses social services administration at local municipal level, which is theoretically discussed by applying theory to a research performed at Pakruojis District Municipality. The analysis and systematization of the following sources were chosen for examining questions raised in the research: scientific publications by foreign and Lithuanian authors, legal acts of the Republic of Lithuania, strategic plans and internet sources. The purpose of this work is to investigate problems of social services administration as well as evaluate the opportunities of development improvement at Pakruojis District Municipality. Empirical social research methods were applied in this work to examine and evaluate the chosen social services administration that is the interview material conducted by informants working in the field of social services administration at Pakruojis District Municipality. The research helped revealing that the efficient administration of social services at Pakruojis District Municipality is hindered not only by the limited financial possibilities but also the human resources problems. The research of Pakruojis District Municipality social services administration helped seeing into social services administration policies at lower state institutional levels – municipal level, and after investigating social services administration problems allowed to provide opportunities for improvement. |
