This master's work dealt with the reduction of youth unemployment as a public policy component of policy issues, delivered the causes and consequences of youth unemployment, labour market and employment policies and promotion of youth employment ways. The main purpose is to analyze the implementation of policies for the reduction of youth unemployment in Mazeikiai city government, to provide the possible measures to reduce youth unemployment, complementary youth unemployment reduction policies in support of Mažeikiai city municipality. In order to achieve the object and tasks defined in the work, is used scientific literature, methods of documents and legal base analysis, for empirical investigation is selected qualitative methods of study strategy- semi structured interviews and qualitative content analysis, which sought to reveal the opinion of Mazeikiai city working employees about the reduction of youth unemployment policy issues: whether there is sufficient qualified staff that is working in the area for the reduction of youth unemployment; how young people are informed about job opportunities; what are the possible new directions in order to reduce youth unemployment; whether motivated young people are looking for a job; what active labour market measures shall be carried out, in order to achieve a successful youth employment; what measures has priority and what are the causes of youth unemployment. |
