Factors leading to the profit and their influence on business perspectives are studied in this Master’s Thesis based on the examples of 2 stevedoring companies. There are analyzed and systemized theoretical as well as practical studies of different Lithuanian and foreign authors on factors leading to the profit and influencing it, also methods of profitability analysis are presented. Operational and financial indicators of 2008-2013 of 2 Klaipeda city companies - Klaipeda Stevedoring Company (KLASCO) and Klaipeda Stevedoring Company Bega - allowing to assess the performance of these companies, external and internal factors leading to the profit during the period under consideration are analyzed in detail in this thesis. Also the probability of companies’ bankrupt is estimated considering the data of companies as well as the prognosis of financial indicators of the companies for 2010-2011 is given. Exhaustive and purposeful evaluation of the indicators leading to the profit and profitability distinguish operational problems of the companies therefore application of such evaluation system is beneficial and for other companies seeking higher profit. |
